Chris was nice enough to take me out for the day to explore his city. We tried some amazing restaurants, so get ready! Our first stop was Monmouth Coffee for breakfast, which my sister and her boyfriend told me to try while in London. I got one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had, a flat white, Chris got a latte, and we shared a plate of pastries. They were amazing! We tried the chocolate croissant, sugared brioche, and a savory prosciutto roll. The croissant and roll were so flaky and delicious and the brioche had a nice subtle sweetness with the powdering of sugar on top. I have to say, he did a nice job of balancing out the sweet and salty combination of the pastries. Next time, my sister made me promise to order the brownie so I will be sure to taste it when I have the pleasure of stopping in for Monmouth’s Coffee again! If you love coffee and simple desserts, be sure to stop here because you will not be disappointed. Happy eating, everyone!
